Annual Report 2022 | REACH NGO – Building Hope

by | Oct 13, 2025 | annual report | 0 comments

REACH NGO was registered on September 27, 2003, with the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Punjab, Pakistan. Since its beginning, REACH has worked for the betterment of underprivileged communities by providing education, healthcare, and social support to those in need.

Free Education Changing Young Lives

REACH runs two higher secondary schools—one for boys and one for girls—with English as the medium of instruction. Currently, 918 students are enrolled. Every year, nearly 100 new students join the playgroup class.

The dropout rate, especially among girls, used to be high, but it has improved as more families now value female education. In 2022, 45 students from Gilgit Baltistan joined classes 5 to 8 and are living in the hostel with free food and lodging.

Religious education is also part of the school curriculum, with Islamic Studies and Arabic taught from nursery to class 12. Daily prayers are offered in the school mosque.

Skill Training for a Better Future

REACH believes education is not enough without practical skills. To help youth earn a living, vocational classes such as computer skills, 3D drawing, SketchUp, and web design have been started.

A teacher training course also helps prepare local teachers—many are later hired by REACH or nearby schools. This ensures long-term community development and job creation.

Health and Wellness for All

A multi-purpose clinic was established to provide healthcare to students and nearby residents. Although the lady doctor who served until 2011 passed away, medical and dental services continue with visiting doctors. Serious cases are referred to nearby private hospitals.

Free lunch is served daily to students, and campaigns have been run to control skin diseases like scabies, though poor hygiene in homes remains a challenge.

Clean Habits, Healthy Lives

Clean Habits, Healthy Lives

REACH teachers visit village homes to educate families about cleanliness, sanitation, and health. In schools, young children learn hygiene through daily routines—washing hands, brushing teeth, and cleaning under supervision. These small habits help prevent diseases and build lifelong awareness about cleanliness.

Support for Widows and Orphans

REACH provides monthly financial help to about 150 widows and offers free uniforms, books, and shoes to over 200 poor students. Interest-free loans are given to bright students and teachers to help them continue higher education under the Qarz-e-Hasna program.

Community Support and Partnerships

Most donations come through REACH (UK) and kind sponsors who fund students and widows. An MOU has been signed with the Economic Affairs Ministry for smooth fund transfers.

The organization is registered with the Punjab Charity Commission, and yearly audits are carried out by government-recognized auditors, Messers Amin Mudasar & Co.

REACH’s website continues to share updates on projects, audits, and reports to maintain transparency.

Empowering Through Opportunity

In 2022, REACH served hundreds through education, shelter, and medical care. Over 1,000 patients received free treatment at the REACH hospital, including one cancer patient at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

By offering free education, health, and support, REACH continues to uplift families and build a self-reliant community.

Lighting the Path Ahead

Every smile, every student, and every family supported by REACH reflects a brighter tomorrow. Our mission goes beyond education and health—it’s about building dignity, opportunity, and hope for all.

Together, we’re not just changing lives; we’re shaping a stronger future for generations to come.
