HOSPITAL SERVICES
REACH hospital services aim to provide healthcare services to the underprivileged people who have no access to hospitals nor any knowledge about basic oral and personal hygiene causing various contagious diseases like scabies, worm infestation, soar throat, abdominal pain, fungal and bacterial infection and dental caries.
Introduction
REACH has constructed a small building for providing emergency medical care to the community. It has four consultation rooms, a detention ward for ten patients, a minor operation theater, a dental chair and a laboratory.
Purpose
The main objective of the project is to provide medical facility for the students of REACH schools, REACH orphanage and outdoor medical care for the general public. Serious patients will be transported to the main hospitals in Lahore city.
Progress
The civil works of the hospital building have been completed. The remaining works include air conditioning of the building, provision of utilities (including electric generator), procurement of hospital equipment and furniture, as well as purchase of an ambulance. Staff will be hired later.
Dental Clinic
REACH had already started their dental clinic under the supervision and practice of Dr. Maha Alam. The clinic has taken care of dental and medical screening of more than 600 students in an ongoing campaign.
The clinic has conducted an anti scabies campaign in the school and in three villages with overwhelming success rate. The school has also conducted many hygiene awareness programs.
The clinic has also collaborated with Central Park Hospital and Kana Nau Hospital for free treatment of our students and staff.
ATCO, Kleanex and Paramount Pharmacy have supported these causes by providing subsidized and free medicine and cleaning soaps.
