School’s Footprint

The first project was a school in village Billianwala Khu located 5 Kilometers off Ferozepur Road midway between the cities of Lahore and Kasur. The school building was completed in 2005. It has 32 classrooms in two blocks. The medium of instruction is English. It has been upgraded to a higher secondary school with classes from Pre-school to Intermediate (FA / FSC). The average annual enrollment is 70 students.
There are over 900 students, about half of whom are girls.
Health Care

REACH has also constructed a small health unit to cater for the needs of the students in particular and the community in general. It is planned to be upgraded to a small hospital with 10 beds for over-night admission. It will also have facilities for health care of mother and child, operation theater for cataract operations, as well as minor surgery in addition to general medical care.
Financial Support To REACH

Education and vocational training are free for the students. The NGO raises funds through voluntary contributions, donations and child sponsorship scheme. A child can be sponsored for his education with Rupees 25000 (US Dollars 200) per year. Our intake is restricted to 1000 students because of funding limitation, otherwise we have the accommodation to educate 1500 children.
Orphanage Project
Reach schools for boys and girls are located in a village on the outskirts of Lahore in Pakistan. The schools became functional in 2005. Orphanage Project
Reach schools for boys and girls are located in a village on the outskirts of Lahore in Pakistan. The schools became functional in 2005. These are non-resident institutions because of absence of hostels. The present strength of the students is around 750. The schools have a capacity to cater for 1200 students. The annual intake is about 90 students in the nursery section. The same students progress to the higher classes.
Vocational Training
The aim of vocational training is to impart a skill to those individuals who have not had an opportunity to go to school or who are unable to study further after completing their school education. This would give them an opportunity to earn a living. Vocational training was started in 2005 in collaboration with Punjab Vocational training council (PVTC). A building was provided by REACH, the trainers and equipment was provided by PVTC. Training was provided in five trades, namely stitching and embroidery for girls; electrician’s course, Motorcycle mechanic and auto mechanic for boys; and computer education for both girls and boys who have cleared their matriculation exam. Each year, about 500 students went through training. In all, about 3500 students have benefited from this training. The training has been discontinued by PVTC because of little student strength.
