Annual Report 2023 | REACH NGO

A Year of Hope and Impact
The Society for Rehabilitation, Education and Community Health (REACH) continued its mission throughout 2023 to uplift backward villages through free education, healthcare, and community support. Founded in 2005 and registered with the Government of Punjab, REACH has worked tirelessly to empower rural communities where poverty, poor health, and low literacy rates hold back progress.
This year, our efforts focused on strengthening education, improving access to healthcare, and supporting families through rehabilitation and assistance programs — building a stronger and more self-reliant community.
Building Futures with Free Education
Education is at the heart of REACH’s mission. Our schools provide free quality education to children from underprivileged backgrounds. Located on a 9-acre campus donated by Late Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif, our schools follow a holistic approach — nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
We believe education should be accessible to all, regardless of gender or financial background. Our students consistently achieve academic success, with many going on to higher education and professional careers, making a lasting difference in their communities.
Empowering Girls through Free Learning
The Zubaida Memorial Higher Secondary School offers free education and facilities for girls in rural areas where gender discrimination and poverty often prevent access to learning.
The school provides modern classrooms, computer and science labs, a library, sports facilities, and free nutritious meals. Beyond academics, students are encouraged to participate in debates, sports, and leadership programs. Our teachers — passionate and qualified — guide each girl personally, helping them discover their strengths. With career counseling and scholarships, we ensure our students continue their education and step confidently into their futures.
Educating Boys for a Better Tomorrow
The Sharif Memorial Higher Secondary School provides free, high-quality education for boys, with full boarding facilities. Students enjoy a safe, nurturing environment with access to modern labs, libraries, and sports grounds.
Healthy meals, comfortable dorms, and supportive teachers help students focus on learning and character building. The school emphasizes honesty, respect, and leadership — preparing boys to become responsible and capable members of society.
Promoting Digital and Spiritual Growth
To prepare students for the modern world, computer literacy starts from grade one in our three computer labs. Students and teachers are encouraged to take government-approved online courses to build digital skills.
Alongside this, Islamic Religious Education remains a key part of our curriculum, guiding students toward strong moral values. Daily prayers, Quran recitation, and lessons in ethics and Islamic history help shape compassionate and responsible individuals.

Caring for Health and Well-being
REACH ensures that every student has access to medical care and health awareness. Regular checkups, dental care, and hygiene education are provided free of cost.
When a student’s family cannot afford treatment, REACH covers all medical expenses. Our partnerships with local hospitals ensure quality care. Through annual health camps and awareness drives, we continue to improve the overall well-being of the community.
Donations and Future Plans
Funding comes mainly from REACH UK, created by the Khan family and friends. Local donations have decreased, but an Endowment Fund helps keep activities running. Child sponsorships have also declined, but donors can now see updates of their sponsored children on the improved website.
For the future, REACH is preparing to introduce STEM-based learning into the preschool system. This will focus on practical training and hands-on activities, starting in the 2025–26 academic session. The aim is to equip children with modern skills to compete in today’s world.
Together, We Create Change
At REACH, every step we take is guided by compassion and community spirit. By offering free education, healthcare, and empowerment, we are not just helping people survive — we’re helping them thrive.
Together, we are building hope, dignity, and brighter futures for generations to come.
